Select from Humanities/Fine Arts, Social/Behavioral Sciences, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences courses listed in the Universal General Education Transfer Component Courses (UGETC) on page 146. Other Transfer Electives are listed on page 147.
- Two Humanities/Fine Arts courses are required from at least two different disciplines, one of which must be a Literature course
- Two Social/Behavioral Sciences courses are required from at least two different disciplines, one of which must be a History course
- Two Mathematics courses are required
- Two Natural Science courses are required

RECOMMENDED COURSE SEQUENCE
Fall Semester - Year One
Math Requirement AS and ASTP (4 credits)
Social/Behavioral Science UGETC
HEA-110 or PED-110 or 2 credits of PED
To complete the HEA/PED requirement, students may take either of the courses listed below OR two 1-credit hour PED courses.
Spring Semester - Year One
Humanities/Fine Arts UGETC
Math Requirement AS and ASTP (4 credits)
Natural Sciences UGETC AS and ASTP
Two Natural Science courses are required for the AS and ASTP. When selecting courses that are offered in a 2-part sequence (BIO 111/112, CHM 151/152, and PHY 251/252), both parts of the sequence are required to meet the Natural Science requirement. Lecture and lab is included in BIO 110, BIO 111, BIO 112, CHM 151, CHM 152, GEL111, PHY 251, and PHY 252. Register for both lecture and lab with PHY 110 and PHY 110A.
BIO 110, GEL 111, and PHY 110/110A are not recommended for students pursuing degrees in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Fall Semester - Year Two
Literature Requirement (3 credits)
To complete the LITERATURE requirement, students may take either of the courses listed below or any other general education literature course.
Natural Sciences UGETC AS and ASTP
Two Natural Science courses are required for the AS and ASTP. When selecting courses that are offered in a 2-part sequence (BIO 111/112, CHM 151/152, and PHY 251/252), both parts of the sequence are required to meet the Natural Science requirement. History Requirement (3 credits)
