The College is committed to supporting students with diverse learning preferences and students with documented disabilities. Our goal is to provide equitable access to educational opportunities, programs, and services so that all students can fully participate in campus life.
If a student believes a disability has affected—or may affect—their academic progress, they may voluntarily provide current documentation to the ADA Coordinator describing the condition and its educational impact. Any documentation shared is kept confidential and used solely to determine appropriate access and support in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Students who choose not to provide documentation are welcome to discuss concerns; however, formal accommodations require supporting documentation.
To begin the accommodation process, students must complete the Student Request for Accommodations Form and submit the required medical documentation. The Student Request for Accommodations Form can be completed online or in person by visiting the Disability Services Office, located in Ward Hall, Room 108. Because every student and every course or program is different, accommodation decisions are made individually and on a case-by-case basis.
The College is dedicated to providing qualified students with disabilities every reasonable opportunity to benefit from its services and to succeed academically. We strive to maintain open communication between students, instructors, and relevant College personnel to ensure that approved accommodations are implemented effectively.
Important: Accommodations are not automatic. Students must request their accommodations each semester by phone, email, or by submitting a semester request through the Accommodate system.
